Couleurs & Colors - "sport & socks" version (LWDC Project2-P2 Pikes Peak)

I am wondering........ Yes I am wondering if the painting or the coloring of a motorcycle is not actually the most difficult stage ..... Yes I wonder .. .....

Initially i was aiming to....

- Keep some kind of similarities with the colors of the original bike (red wheels ...)
- Stay in the spirit of the Aprilia colors (and when we remember how far they have been able to commit themselves ...) and therefore of on DNA
- Pay tribute to Biaggi whom I like so much to look at riding
- Have dominant colors on grey, black, white and red Aprilia

Then this is a "roadster" but with a lot of fairings whose shapes and their arrangements vary a lot from the original version.

Finally, i had to work on the consistency of the whole ...... In short, it was a big challenge for me....

The result ? Not much anything do with my above criteria ! I wanted to work with Paul Design (www.pauldesign.ch) in view of his excellent reputation based on a job without reproach! So I gave Paul "carte blanche" to express himself on my bike, both on the tank and on the fairing parts.

The result ? Superb ! The inspiration for this "sport & socks" version (see my previous article) is coming from the flat track (thematic), spiced with vintage look (the cream color) and some red Aprilia color. Do all roads lead to Rome? Not sure but in any case clearly towards Noale :-)

Is there no hazard ? I posted recently on Instagram a picture that I had used in the context of a discusson with a possible investor. Well the color of the fairing reported on the Café Racer was the same color cream with red edging that the fairing painted by Paul ! The hazard really?

I will post few more pictures of the other versions soon once they will be ready.... Simply....

Je me demande........ Oui je me demande si la peinture ou la mise en couleur d'une moto n'est pas en fait l'étape la plus difficile..... Oui je me demande.......

Au départ il y avait un cahier des charges :
- Garder un lien avec les couleurs de la moto d'origine (roues rouges...)
- Rester dans l'esprit des couleurs Aprilia (et quand on se rappelle jusqu'ou ils ont pu se commettre...) et donc de on ADN
- Rendre hommage à Biaggi que j'adore regarder rouler
- Avoir des dominantes couleurs sur les gris, noir, blanc et rouge Aprilia

Ensuite il y a une moto "roadster" mais avec tout de même beaucoup de carénages dont les formes et leurs dispositions changent beaucoup de la version d'origine.

Enfin il y a la volonté de bien faire et la cohérence de l'ensemble...... Bref, c'était pas gagné.

Le résultat ? Pas grand chose à voir avec le cahier des charges ! J'avais envie de travailler avec Paul Design (www.pauldesign.ch) au vu de son excellente reputation basée sur un travail sans reproche ! J'ai donc donné carte blanche à Paul pour s'exprimer sur ma moto, tant sur le réservoir que sur les pieces de carénages.

Le résultat ? Superbe ! L'inspiration de cette version "sport & socks" (voir article précédent) provient du flat track (thématique), pimenté de vintage (la couleur crême) avec le rappel du rouge Aprilia. Est-ce que tous les chemins mênent à Rome ? Pas certain mais en tout cas clairement vers Noale :-)

Y-a-t-il un hasard ? J'ai posté récemment sur Instagram une photo que j'avais utilise dans le cadre d'une discusson avec un possible investisseur. Et bien la couleur du carénage rapporté sur le Café Racer était de la meme couleur crème avec liseret rouge que le carénage peint par Paul ! Le hasard vraiment ?
